Delhi govt to table Janlokpal Bill today

Amid cheers from supporters and criticism of opponents, Delhi government is all set to table the much awaited Janlokpal Bill 2015 in the Delhi assembly on Monday. The current assembly session has already been extended till Friday for a threadbare debate on the bill in the assembly.

“We are committed to make Delhi a corruption free city and open to discussion in the assembly to make the rule more relevant,”said Gopal Rai, Delhi’s Transport Minister who was associated with Anna Hazare’s Janlokpal Movement. The 14 page document prepared by the government on a three member Janlokpal chaired by a retired judge of High Court.
