A government of India enterprise, under the Union Human Resources Development Ministry, the Educational Consultant India Limited (EdCIL), will be asked to conduct an online test to expedite the recruitment process and conduct it in a transparent manner with complete professionalism.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had suggested that candidates who worked as guest teachers and contractual teachers of Sava Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) in the previous years may be given age relaxation and weightage marks as a one-time measure by linking to the years of service rendered by them with appropriate conditions.

In fact, to overcome the problems of shortage of teachers in the government schools in the national Capital, the Delhi government had hired more than 6,000 guest teachers. Now, several initiatives are being taken to fill the gap of shortage of government teachers in the Capital as the focus is to provide quality education in government schools, said an official.

Delhi’s education minister Manish Sisodia posted a series of tweets on Saturday while making this announcement.
