Delhi govt sends guidelines to schools to check spread of dengue

In the wake of increasing cases of dengue in the national capital, Delhi government on Wednesday issued a circular to all schools here suggesting prevention measures to control diseases including wearing of full-sleeve tops, trousers and salwars.
As per the guidelines mentioned in the circular, students should be instructed to wear full sleeve clothes and long trousers or salwars to cover hands and legs properly. They can also apply mosquito repellent on exposed parts of the body.
According to the circular, nails should be trimmed short once every week and hands washed with soap before consuming food.
All water coolers of schools must be cleaned properly every week and servicing of water filters to be installed in schools.
The circular directs checking of the expiry date of all packaged eatables and drinks before eating and also refrain from consuming water, milkshake, fruit juice and chat from roadside vendors.
