Starting with Srivastava himself who took over the charge on Thursday morning but on the website of Delhi government DM Sapolia is still chief secretary of Delhi, with his picture and profile. Sapolia is the only person after Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, whose profile and picture is available on the official website of the government. The profiles of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, and all the six cabinet ministers have not been uploaded on the website even after 14 days of swearing in ceremony of new government. Furthermore, the contact numbers of ministers’ offices are not available on the website. Only the name of education minister Manish Sisodia is mentioned on the online directory of directorate of education but he is also missing from the online directory of higher education.
The department of information technology which has been assigned to provide guidance to various departments and autonomous bodies on technical matters, vetting IT project and taking departments on achieving IT road map claims Rajender Kumar as its boss in the directory.
Interestingly, Kumar is now secretary to chief minister and is one of the most talked about bureaucrats in corridors of power and in public domain as well. His another previous department, Directorate of Training and Technical Education also mentions him as its secretary on the website. The website of public works department (PWD) is not functional as none of its links are working.
Surprisingly, former bureaucrat Shakti Sinha who took voluntary retirement around six months back is still principal secretary of finance and board member of Delhi State Civil Supply Corporation (DSCSC). The website still claims SS Yadav as its boss, while he was given charge of principal secretary urban development last week.
Furthermore, Yadav is still director of directorate of information and publicity and secretary for department of art, culture and languages. If the situation of the website update is any indication of the working style of bureaucracy, the new chief new chief secretary really has a tough assignment to make his team to work fast.
