Delhi has become a role model in the field of fully computerised property registration process. The new system has done away with the long waiting period and procedural wrangles. Delhi government on Friday started the fourth E-Sub Registrar Office at Kapashera. Delhi chief minister claimed that the new office would ensure transparency, efficiency and accuracy in registration process.’ The new office ensures on-line appointment, hassle-free and quick registration and elimination of touts' rule,’ she said.
Dikshit claimed that such offices at Mehrauli, Rohini and Vivek Vihar are already functional. The city government aims to convert the six Sub-Registrar Offices at Nangloi, Geeta Colony, Jankpuri, Libaspur, Majri and Bhalswa into E-Sub-Registrar Offices by July, 2013. In order to make the entire process of property registration e-enabled, the city government has a plan to establish 33 E-Sub-Registrar Offices by the end of current financial year. The city government is moving fast in the direction of e-governance as it has put stamp papers in e-stamp mode and established e-courts apart from implementing e-court fee system, Dikshit added. The office has been constructed by the Delhi Transport tourist development corporation(DTTDC) with an amount of Rs 6.25 crore.
Speaking on this occasion, Delhi urban development and revenue miniister, Arvinder Singh, claimed that the government is keen to commission at least one E-Sub Registrar Office in every sub-division. Presently, 16 Sub-Registrar offices are functional across Delhi out of which four have been converted into E-SR offices. He added that a new feature has been provided in the new SR office at Kapashera to make it more advanced.
