The view of the Supreme Court on <g data-gr-id="39">non</g>- <g data-gr-id="40">admissability</g> of ‘polygraph tests’ is well known, despite that the Delhi Police want to conduct to the test to take its investigation further.
On Wednesday, Metropolitan Magistrate Sunil Kumar Sharma said : “Application for polygraph test on the three suspects including Shashi Tharoor’s domestic help Narayan Singh, his driver Bajrangi and his friend Sanjay Dewan, is allowed, subject to NHRC and the Supreme Court guidelines.”
A senior police official, requesting anonymity told Millennium Post, “We are ready with a comprehensive questionnaire including few direct questions related to her murder. Twists and turns have also been given in few questions to trap the suspects. The results of the test will surely throw some light in the case.”
While requesting the court to allow the Special Investigation Team conduct the test, the SHO Sarojini Nagar <g data-gr-id="31">said :</g> The suspects are not disclosing all the facts. They are hiding some crucial facts on the injury marks on Sunanda <g data-gr-id="27">ushkar’s</g> body.
It is pertinent to mention that when Pushkar was found dead in the suite of Hotel Leela Palace in New Delhi, all the three suspects were present in the hotel.
On January 17, 2014 Tharoor’s close friend Sanjay Dewan came to the hotel at 5 pm and remained there till the discovery of Pushkar’s death. He could not offer a plausible explanation for cancelling his trip to Mumbai and his coming to the hotel in Delhi.
Also, he remained silent about the power cut at about 7 pm in <g data-gr-id="32">room</g> no. 345 at Leela Hotel just before the discovery of the death of Pushkar, while he was very much present in the room along with
Shashi Tharoor.
