Delhi cops fail to verify their own workers

On the one hand, Delhi police have made it mandatory for every citizens to verify the servants, workers and tenants to keep a check on the crime. But it seems that Delhi Police itself failed to do the verification of the workers (excluding the cops) that are working in the police station premises.
In a recent incident, a cook in special staff -outer district, who has been identified as Om Prakash, 30, who was stabbed by two, has been found to have two criminal cases against him.
‘The incident took place on Saturday night at about 10.10 pm near the DDA market near Sultanpuri, when Prakash was returning to his rented accommodation in Sultanpuri area. Three persons who were known to him, started beating him up over some past revenge. Further, one of them took out a knife and stabbed him on his hand and ran away from the crime scene,’ a police official added.
