The Delhi Pradesh Congress said the AAP government’s decision to cancel the whole exam for the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board for Grade 2 candidates was a gross injustice to the genuine successful candidates as it was a question of the future of the young candidates, and sought a thorough probe into the whole issue.
In a letter to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung on Saturday, DPCC Chief Ajay Maken said “in case of any irregularity, severe punishment should be meted out to those found guilty, but the genuinely successful candidates should not be penalized”.
Maken sought the intervention of the Lieutenant- Governor in the matter so as to ensure that the genuine candidates are not meted out injustice. Addressing a press conference at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan here on Saturday, chief spokesperson Sharmistha Mukherjee said the guilty should, whether they are officials or candidates, be punished but at the same time the innocent should not be made to suffer, either.
