Delhi CM inaugurates transit camp for pilgrims to Ajmer

The Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday opened a transit camp for pilgrims going to attend the 801st a nnual Urs of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer.
The camp at Burari grounds organised by the department of revenue would continue till 25 May. A large number of pilgrims from different states travel to Ajmer via Delhi during this time.
The city government has been making special arrangements for their comfortable stay in these transit camps for the past 14 years.
Dikshit assured the pilgrims that her government would be willing to provide all possible courtesy and amenities needed in the camp.
It has brought all agencies like MCD, DJB, Mother Dairy, DTC, Rajasthan Tourism, Indian Railways, health department, food and supplies department, and police, among others, at one place in order to serve the pilgrims going to Ajmer Sharif.
