Delhi boy scores highest marks in Common Management Admission test

In the recently conducted Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), a candidate from Delhi, Henre Omkar Praveen scored the highest marks by securing the maximum total of 317 out of 400. Henre was followed by Abhilash Mukherjee and Vishal Goel from Jamshedpur and Pune who both secured a total of 303. The CMAT results, released by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), were announced on Friday. CMAT, which was held over a period of five days from 20 to 24 February, recorded an average score of 69.91 per cent. In the category of girls, Shikharkhane Shreya Parag from Kolhapur and Shruti Jagdish Birari of Mumbai attained the highest marks of 283 and 282 respectively. The total participation of male and female categories during the test was 56,017 and 32,925, respectively. The maximum average scores were recorded in the cities of Bangalore, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Noida, Mumbai, Bhuj and Kolkata. The exam, which is now accepted in 22 states and held in 32 cities across the nation, was conducted in two separate slots. The CMAT scores are used by various Indian states to offer admissions for Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) programmes under the government quota.
