Delhi boy bells CAT 2013, comes on top

Anirudh Batra works as an engineer at a private firm in Noida.

Giving credit to his parents for his success, Batra said, ‘I am happy and I am lucky to have cracked the exam. I would like to give credit to my parents and my teachers. My parents also very happy.’

Eight students with engineering background have scored 100 percentile in CAT results declared on Tuesday for admission to India’s top B-schools, an official said.

‘The eight are all boys with an engineering background,’ CAT convener Rohit Kapoor said. There are 10 who have scored 99.99 percentile, one of whom is a girl.

‘The CAT results will be available for access until 31 December, 2014 on the CAT website and the candidates are advised to retain a printed copy of their score card,’ added Kapoor. A total of 1,74,000 sat for CAT, conducted at 76 test centres across 40 cities over a 20-day testing window from 16 October to 11 November, 2013.
