Delhi Book Fair about to begin

The 21st edition of Delhi Book Fair and its concurrent events, the 17th Stationery Fair, Office Automation and Corporate Gift Fair will be inaugurated by Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (I/C) Ministry of DONER in Hall 8 at Pragati Maidan, on August 29.
The Delhi Book Fair will focus on the books and publications based on the theme of the fair, ‘Skill Development’. A section of the theme is devoted to Late APJ Abdul Kalam’s <g data-gr-id="37">books .</g>
The latest edition of Delhi Book Fair will feature titles and publications of over 215 participants.
Overseas participation is from China. These events are being organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) while the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) is the co-organiser of the Delhi Book Fair which will introduce a lot of new initiatives.
The books that will be displayed include <g data-gr-id="19">text books</g> for schools and colleges, electronics, publishing, children’s literature, fiction and non-fiction books, all types of office, computer stationery, digital writing instruments, label, printer, labelling machines, money checkers, material for seminars, conferences, office automation and corporate gifts.
To make the events more meaningful, several ancillary activities such as book releases, seminars, painting competitions, storytelling and award functions are also scheduled to be held during the fairs.
These include literary programme by Bhartiya Jnanpith; workshop on library science by <g data-gr-id="20">Rangnathan</g> Research Centre Circle; The Laws of Invisible Leadership by IRH Press; Author Talk-Marcus du Sautoy by LIS British Council; How to Crack Aptitude /GD&PI and Learning 360: Bridging the Gap between the Tutor and Students by Disha Publications; Health Awareness through Acupressure by International Institute of Alternative Sciences and Nukkad Natak on Child Abuse/Drugs and Narcotics.
The fairs will be opened to the common public from August 29 to September 6.
