Delhi BJP woos youths under new banner ahead of elections

Delhi BJP has set up a separate organisation 'Lotus Youth Power' aiming to bring in one lakh young men and women interested in social and cultural activities under its banner .
‘Lotus Youth Power is an organisation for those young people who may not want to join politics but are interested in social and cultural activities. At the initiative of the BJP state unit, this organisation will try to groom the talent of our young men and women,’ said BJP state chief Vijay Goel at a press conference here on Friday.
‘Our aim is to approach about one lakh young persons in Delhi. These shall be the youth who use social media. So far 10 thousand youth have been enrolled as members of the organisation. Its membership is open for all the youth in Delhi. The online membership enrolment will be started soon,’ he said.
Delving into the details of the organisation, Goel said that various cultural and musical programmes will be organised for these youths from time to time. Similarly those who are interested in sports and other activities shall also be enrolled as members in due course of time.
