Delhi BJp wants DIscoms accounts to be audited

Alleging fudging of the account by power distribution companies (DISCOMS), the principal opposition in Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded auditing of their accounts by CAG from the day of privatisation of power distribution in Delhi. ‘Delhi government is hands in glove with power distribution companies (DISCOMS) and once again planning to waste public money by providing package to DISCOMS,’ said V K Malhotra, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly. He further alleged that Rs 20,000 crore deficit shown by the power companies is just a fudging of the account and excuse to hike power tariff in the city by 20-25 per cent.
