Delegation of three civic bodies meet CM

The standing committee chairmen and leaders of the houses of the three municipal corporations, along with the mayors of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation and East Delhi Municipal Corporation on Friday called on Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit to discuss various issues related to the civic administration of the city.
The meeting was attended by the UD minister Arvinder Singh,chief secretary DM Spolia, director (Local Bodies) RK Srivastava and other senior officers.
The representatives of the three corporations raised a number of issues such nomination of the councilors in Delhi Jal Board, DDA, DUSIB, property tax and shortage of staff int he civic bodies, among others. The Chief Minister on her her part told the delegation to concentrate on sanitation and cleanliness.
She further stated that her government is willing to help the municipal bodies, but would like to see positive changes in the city.
