Congress workers staged a protest against anti-public policies adopted by the of Central, in Dehradun on Sunday.
Wearing black badges and carrying playcards, the protesters raised slogans against the Narendra Modi government.
Led by party state vice-president Jot Singh Bisht, the workers submitted a memorandum, addressed it to President Pranab Mukherjee, at the DM’s office. Working president of the Dehradun Mahanagar Congress Committee Prithviraj Chauhan and state district party president Deen Mohammad were also present.
It was mentioned in the memorandum that the general public is feeling lost after one year tenure of NDA government in power. In the last general elections, Modi and other senior BJP leaders had promised that the government would control inflation within 100 days and will credit Rs 15 lakh in bank accounts of all Indians from the black money stashed abroad. Now, people are feeling rejected, after the government completed one year.
The NDA government is playing with the emotions of the public. It is a complete failure on issues such as education, health, farming and providing basic needs to people. The government introduced NITI Aayog, replacing the Planning Commission, adding burden on the employees.
