Defence minister felicitates NCC cadets at R-Day camp

Addressing the NCC Cadets during his visit to NCC Republic Day Camp – 2014, here on Monday, he said NCC is a unique organisation where cadets are provided an opportunity to participate in adventure activities with the best equipment.
Antony was of the view that spirit of volunteerism in our youth needs to be nurtured. He said, the Government has also institutionalised incentives for NCC cadets. He urged the cadets to work hard and fulfil all the tasks assigned to them with dedication, honesty and integrity, in keeping with the spirit of NCC.
Earlier on his arrival he was received by DGNCC Lt Gen Aniruddha Chakravarty. Then Antony in an Investiture Ceremony conferred Raksha Mantri Padak and Commendation Cards to selected NCC Cadets for their exemplary courage and devotion to duty in an impressive ‘Investiture Ceremony’.
