Defamation case: Bhushan hits back at Anil Ambani

Bhushan also posed six questions to Ambani, urging him to come clean on the issue. Anil Ambani’s Reliance group had served a notice to Google on 21 July for hosting a blog where someone had uploaded a copy of his complaint to the SIT constituted by Supreme Court on black money.

The SC lawyer also expressed his annoyance at the fact that the notice of defamation was sent to Google and one of Bhushan’s colleagues but not to him, the author of the complaint.

Bhushan reiterated that Ambani group companies had received a huge some of money, running into $750 million, in violation of laws of the land, at the time when 2G scam happened. In his reply Bhushan had asked Anil Ambani to explain if Reliance was given permission for ‘dual technology’ telephony and awarded GSM spectrum by former telecom minister A Raja.

‘Isn’t it true that your company Reliance created an eligible company Swan Telecom with about Rs 1,000 crore of your company’s money to grab telecom licence and 2G spectrum against the Department of Telecommunication Rules, for which your company Reliance, its three executives, Swan Telecom, Balwa, Goenka ... have been chargesheeted by the CBI in the 2G cases?’
asked Bhushan.

He also accused Ambani or his wife to sign Rs 10 crore cheque in the case. Bhushan had also asked Ambani to come clean on if his visit to the jailed executives of his company in 2 G case was to support them. ‘Isn’t it true that your company M/s AAA & Sons Enterprises received a huge sum of $750 million from a company called EMITS Singapore in December 2007 in violation of Foreign Exchange Management Act which is around the time that 2G scam took place?,’he asked to the industrialist.

Besides alleging his involvement in violating rules in 2G case, Bhushan has reiterated his allegations of financial irregularities in Sassan Coal block, which caused a loss of Rs 29,000 crore to government and violating rules of SEBI for which he was allegedly fined Rs 50 crore and debarred for some time.
