Decomposed body of a telecom company salesman found

The decomposed body of a salesman of a telecom service company was on Tuesday found stuffed in a gunny sack with his hands tied inside a mobile shop in Indirapuram area of the city.

The body has been identified that of Kamal (28), a Noida resident originally hailing from Etah district of Uttar Pradesh, police said.

Prima facie it appears that Kamal had been strangled to death and his hands were tied with a rope, police said, adding the victim had been missing since past five days. ‘The body was discovered after locals complained that foul smell was emanating from the shop, which was shut for past five days.

On breaking open the shutter, Kamal’s decomposed body was discovered,’ Indirapuram police station in-charge, Virendra Singh Yadav said. Pankaj, who runs the mobile shop, is absconding.

Kamal and Pankaj often used to meet each other for work purpose, Yadav said, adding role of another person behind the murder is suspected.

Kamal’s family has been informed about the recovery of the body, which has been sent for
post-mortem, he said.
