DEA Secretary Shaktikanta Das nominated to RBI Central Board

Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das has been nominated to the Central Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank. “The Central Government has nominated Shaktikanta Das, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, New Delhi as a Director on the Central Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of India vice Ajay Tyagi,” the RBI said on Friday.
The nomination of Das is effective October 30, 2015 until further orders, RBI said. Das is a 1980 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre officer.
