DDA to hold Yoga events on June 21

In order to celebrate the International Yoga Day and to create awareness regarding the importance of Yoga in ensuring a sound mind and body, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Thursday announced that the Yoga Day would be held at the District Park in Dwarka, Sector 11 and at the Swarn Jayanti Park in Rohini. This event will be celebrated in collaboration with the Ministry of Ayush, and the Art of Living as well as Patanjali Yog Peeth.
The DDA officials expect around two to five thousand people to turn up in Dwarka and around eight to ten thousand people at the Swarn Jayanti Park in Rohini. DDA employees have been requested to take part in these activities.
“A Yoga session will be held from 7 am to 7.45 am on June 21 which will coincide with the timings of a Yoga session being held at Chandigarh by the Prime Minister.
“The DDA appeals to all the residents of nearby localities to come and join in order to understand the importance of Yoga in building a sound mind and a healthy body,” said an official.
