DDA selected for E-India award

Owing to various IT initiatives in e-governance for protecting land from encroachment as well as for monitoring of engineering projects in order to ensure their completion in time while utilising men and materials in an optimised way and by taking the online feedback from general public and incorporating it in the day-to-day functioning, the DDA has been selected for the E-India award. 

The DDA had earlier launched mobile applications for online filling of measurements books of engineering projects, mobile applications for protection of land by uploading periodic photographs, feedback applications regarding maintenance of sports complexes and community halls, and monitoring the services in DDA parks through mobile apps. 

“DDA has been selected for E-India award under ‘Digital India IT Initiatives’ category for extraordinary IT initiatives in the field of land protection and engineering projects. 

Through these mobile and web-enabled applications, the authority has made the efforts to involve the general public also as a participant in the activities of DDA for overall improvement of the services and also to make the employees of DDA more active in protection of lands and monitoring of engineering projects. These IT initiatives were sent for the E-India awards by e-India Summit 2015 on Monday under the aegis of Chief Minister of Maharashtra,” said a DDA official.
