The authority is also expecting a boom in real estate sector by implementing it flag ship – land pooling policy in the current year. As per the policy the builders will have to surrender the land to DDA which would develop infrastructure and return 40-60 percent of developed land to them. “The policy has been approved but yet to be launched,”added Kumar.
The authority also announced that all its buildings would be on ‘green building plan’ in which complete recycle of water and maximum utilisation of solar energy would be main focus. “We are also promoting ‘design and built’ concept in which builders giving the best design of any building would allotted the project for development,”he added.
On complaint of banks not refunding the registration money of unsuccessful candidates in just concluding housing scheme- DDA VC informed that he has ordered the finance department to enquire into the matter. “We have already issued notices to all the banks to refund the money. I have also directed the finance department to hold a meeting of bank officers and aggrieved candidates and ask the banks to issue on the spot demand draft. If they are found deliberately not refunding the money DDA will taken action against them,’he added.
‘We can black list those banks for all our future schemes and withdraw our money from those banks which would be huge monetary loss for them,”he added. So far, around 150 allottees have surrendered their flats in the DDA housing scheme- 2014. “Some find the flats small and some others find it too distant to live which are normal reasons for any housing scheme,”he added.
