DDA launches Vigilance Awareness Week

Vice-Chairman, Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Sanjay Kumar Srivastava. on Monday inaugurated the Vigilance Awareness Week by lighting the lamp and also administering the pledge regarding eradication of corruption, to the officers and employees of DDA.

Speaking on the occasion, Srivastava said that it is a time for self-introspection, when all should evaluate as to what has been given to the organisation, the society and the country. According to him, everyone has an important role and we should all work as a united whole in improving the services and image of the organisation.

The V-C asked all the employees to see and go through the posters which have been made for the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week and that all should work hard to make DDA proud.  Chief Vigilance Officer, DDA states that everyone should be vigilant not only about others but also one’s own self and gave details about the Vigilance Awareness Week being held in DDA.

Many awards have also been instituted and these will encompass the various activities of DDA like best maintained staff quarters, best maintained sports complex, community halls, best office environment which would include cleaning, maintenance of files etc.

People who have done extraordinary work including innovative work will also be rewarded. There will be awards for computerisation and a debate competition will be held during the week.

Citing example, a senior official said that all of us should try to emulate Sardar Patel who helped in uniting the whole country despite opposition and many forces working against it.

The weeklong celebrations in DDA, which are dotted with debates, lectures competitions etc, will culminate with award distribution towards the end of the week.
