DDA has introduced a mobile based application from Friday (January 1) onwards which will allow users of DDA sports complexes and golf courses to determine payments to maintenance contractors. With this application, DDA will act as a bridge with users and contractors to improve the maintenance of these facilities. Members of these facilities would be provided with login IDs and they can provide their feedback with regard to the maintenance of various facilities at the sports complexes and golf courses, including cleanliness, lighting, security etc.
“If the maintenance of any facility is not found satisfactory, then the agency responsible for its maintenance would be required to rectify the deficiency within 24 hours after the receipt of the complaint. Earlier, once complaints were received these had to be forwarded by the sports complex to the concerned agency for rectification,” DDA said in a statement.
“With the mobile based application, the agency responsible for maintenance of the facility will be able to access the complaint instantaneously for rectification. If the rectification is not carried out within this period or if the rectification carried out is unsatisfactory, then proportionate deduction along with 100 per cent penalty amount will be deducted from the amount payable to the agency,” DDA stated.
Training has been provided to the staff of DDA sports complexes and golf courses to enable them to assist the members in order to utilise the mobile based application. Similar training has also been provided to the agencies and contractors involved in the maintenance of these facilities so that they can check the grievances lodged by the members and get it rectified without the necessity of forwarding them to the agencies/ contractors by the respective sports complex/ golf course.
This system has been introduced to involve members of these facilities through the feedback system for better maintenance of these facilities as well as to bring in transparency and accountability. A similar system is being introduced for the maintenance of DDA parks (including toilets installed in DDA parks) and community halls.
