DDA gears up to ensure consumer satisfaction

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has geared up for improving the quality of its flats. The organisation held a meeting on Friday at Raj Niwas and passed some resolutions with a view to improve consumer satisfaction.
Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, who was also present at the meeting, directed DDA to improve the quality of flats so that there are no complaints and there is increased consumer satisfaction. He also emphasized on the need for streamlining the system of conversion of property from leasehold to freehold so that there is no inconvenience to the general public and that are no delays. Jung advised that timelines for disposal of each department be fixed and monitored so that there is no slippage of time and there is no intentional delay or coordination problem in conversion cases.
 Decision to allot 60 flats in CWG Village was also approved in the meeting. A proposal for operationalisation of land policy by way of regulations was approved in the meeting. The proposal includes creation of land pooling cell, creation of posts therein and budget for administrative expenditure, declaration of 95 villages as Development Area and declarations of 88 villages as Urban Villages.
