DDA felicitates officials during vigilance week

Delhi Development Authority (DDA) held an award function on Thursday to recognise various activities of DDA and also extraordinary work for creating transparency and having long term value to the city. J M Garg, vigilance commissioner, CVC gave away awards to the officers/ officials of DDA. Vigilance Commissioner also released three books on the occasion. G S Patnaik, former vice-chairman, DDA was guest of honour and Sanjay Srivastava, vice-chairman, DDA and other senior officers and officials were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Garg congratulated those who won the awards and said that DDA has done a good job by compilation of various notifications and circulars in a book form. According to him, DDA’s job is a challenging work due to large public interaction and our motto should be to serve the people with a smiling face, to understand their problems and provide solutions. ‘We should work for customer satisfaction and minimise the complaints by speedy disposal with transparency that will help improve the image of the organisation in the public. One should maintain self-esteem by observing self-control and self-regulation and keep nothing pending at the end of day’, said Garg. He opined that use of new technology, computerisation of records and working with dedication and commitment will lead to image building of the organisation and satisfaction of its clients. He advised that DDA should computerize and digitise all its properties, land records etc. to reduce the problems that may arise due to benami properties.
