In yet another incident of daylight robbery, a truck driver was robbed of Rs 13 lakhs at gun point in south-west Delhi on Wednesday morning. The robbers are yet to be arrested.
According to police, the incident took place on Wednesday morning when the truck driver was returning from chhawla area after delivering hens. The driver was carrying Rs 13 lakhs, payment given to him for services delivered. Meanwhile he was stopped by a group of assailants and was allegedly robbed off at gunpoint.
The victim told police that during the incident he was accompanied by his cleaner. ‘The assailants who were unknown to them stopped them mid-way. They threatened us and at gun-point robbed all the money we were carrying with us. Soon after we handed over the money to them, they fled away,’ the victim told police.
