Dankaur SHO gets clean chit

A day after allegations of Dalit couples being stripped by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Dankaur police station in Greater Noida, two teams representing SC/ST from Centre and state reached the area. The teams, after initial indications, reportedly gave clean cheat to the police official alleged of disrobing the couples. The teams also ordered to initiate penal action against the couples for stripping their clothes and gathering people through their act.

The members, after watching the video of the incident, said that Sunil Gautam, the complainant, and his family are responsible for the incident. Video footages indicate clearly that the couples themselves stripped off their clothes while the policemen are seen requesting them not to do so. The family, in order to mount pressure and to draw <g data-gr-id="14">attention</g> of passers-by, involved in other activities, too, that ashamed the policemen.
