Dance teacher kills lover, hangs self inside his academy

According to the police, the man has been identified as Sachin while the lover has been identified as Yogita (24). Police have initiated a probe under Section 174 of the CrPC of Inquest Proceedings. So far, police have not found any suicide note from the possession of both the deceased, said senior police officers of the South district.

 Sources said that the families of Sachin and Yogita were happy in their relationship. However, the Facebook status of Yogita allegedly shows that she was sad for the past few days.

According to the police, the incident came to light at around 9.30 am when a local saw Sachin hanging from the ceiling fan of his dance academy.

Investigators said that the locals first saw the body of Sachin hanging from the window. Since the dance academy was in the basement, the body was partially visible. The local gathered other locals after which they informed the police.

Police rushed to the spot and found Sachin. Some distance away from where Sachin’s body was found hanging, cops found Yogita lying motionless on the floor. Sources said that she was strangled by Sachin with an iron coil.

The duo was last seen alive on Tuesday night at around 10 pm, said sources.Police rushed their bodies to a nearby hospital. Both Sachin and Yogita’s families have been informed about the incident. Police have kept the bodies for post-mortem.

While Sachin was a native of Indore, Yogita’s family lives in Chhattarpur. Police are questioning family members of Yogita to ascertain what led to the incident.

Police have initiated an inquiry under relevant sections of Inquest Proceedings at the Mehrauli police station. Further investigation is on.
