Dairy owners of Jheel Khuranja to get free hold rights of plots

Dairy owners at Jheel Khuranja will now get free hold rights of their plots as Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has initiated the process in this regard. 'As the ministry of urban development has given a go ahead for the proposal, we have requested owners to complete the formalities of document verification to get a free hold,' said a senior DDA official. These 144 plots had been allotted to milk producers of Jheel Khuranja Milk Producers' Cooperative Society in 1950 by Delhi Improvement Trust, predecessor of DDA. 'The milk producers of the area have been demanding to convert their leased plots into free hold plots,' added the officer. The proposal was examined by DDA and union ministry of urban development (MOUD) at various levels.
