Dad held, 1 absconding for raping daughter

A 14-year-old was allegedly raped by her 42-year-old father and her father's friend in outer Delhi. Cops have arrested the father, but the other accused is still absconding.
According to the police, the father worked as a daily wage labourer in a factory near his residence in outer Delhi.The victim, who resides in Kanjhawala, approached the police on Friday and lodged a complaint against the two men. 'In her complaint, the girl alleged that her father and his friend raped her multiple times.. She also claimed that she was threatened for life if she tells the incident to anyone,' the official added.
But the girl found the courage to tell her mother about the incident who approached the local police station on the same day. After receiving the complaint, the girl was taken for the medical examination that conformed rape. 'On the basis of the medical reports and the statement given by the complainant we have registered a case against the alleged two accused,' the official said.
He added that her father was arrested from his residence on Saturday. 'We have launched a search to nab the other man and further investigation is on,' said the official.
The girl lived with her mother, who had earlier lodged a complaint of domestic violence against her husband. The father under the influence of alcohol used to repeatedly beat the mother mercilessly. The mother was living separately for over four months. The father is being questioned to get clues about the absconding man.
