Cyber Cell examines kissing prankster’s video

A prankster on YouTube might soon feel the heat of Delhi Police after a video shows him randomly approaching girls and kissing them before fleing. The YouTube video went viral on social media and has attracted the eyes of cops and the DCW chief Swati Maliwal herself.

The video shows a boy in his early 20s approaching a girl somewhere in New Delhi on one pretext or the other and later kissing her. He flees before the girls gather their wits to react.

In one video, he is also shown daring a couple, approaching them on some pretext and suddenly kissing the girl and escaping by jumping over a grill. The boy with the girl tries to give him a chase but fails.

It is still unclear whether the boy has a team or crew and is recording videos and uploading them on YouTube to gain maximum hits and subscriptions or he is really insane enough to do such a bizarre act; only a through investigation would tell.

However, these videos have landed him in deep trouble as the social media has picked up the case bringing it up to the notice of Delhi Commission for Women Chief Swati Maliwal together with the Delhi Police. The boy has later apologised and removed the video from the video sharing platform but the damage seems to have been done already.

“It’s perversion, not humour. FIR should be filed immediately and strict action should be taken by police. His apology is of no consequence for it’s an act of violence,” Maliwal said.

The cops too swung into action when media asked if an FIR would be registered in the case.

Joint CP, Depender Pathak said: “Delhi Police are aware of such a vulgar video doing the rounds on social media. Cyber Cell is looking into technical aspects of the case. Criminal aspect of the case is also being looked into. We are in touch with social media and Internet service providers. If the victim wants to file a separate case, she would be allowed too.”
