Crack down on unauthorised ticketing agencies

In order to curb the unlawful activities of touts and unauthorised ticketing agencies during the festival rush, the Railway Protection Force of Northern Railway had constituted an anti-fraud team. On 10.11.2012, on reliable sources, the Anti-fraud team raided an unauthorized rail ticketing agency M/s Vivek Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd functioning at Khanna Market, Tis Hazari, Delhi.  The sleuths apprehended the owner, one Hardesh, Aged 44 years, R/o H. No. 327, Street No. 8, Bhajanpura, Delhi and found 59 railway tickets amounting to Rs. 48006/- in his possession. 37 tickets were found to be booked from IRCA Railway Reservation Centre and 22 tickets from Tis Hazari Railway Reservation Centre.  The delinquent Hardesh who was involved in the aforesaid case was taken into custody and a case filed under Sec. 143 of the Indian Railways Act against him.
