CPM polling agent found dead

As violence marred the Bidhannagar Municipal corporation elections in West Bengal on Saturday, the body of a CPM polling agent was found near Bidhannagar railway station with multiple injury marks on 

Sunday night.

The deceased identified as Ujjwal Mukherjee a resident of Salt Lake’s FD Bloc was the polling agent of CPM candidate Dilip Bhaduri of Bidhannagar’s ward nu-38.

Reports said that the victim had an altercation with the Trinamool workers on Election Day which turned violent. Police recovered the body and informed Mukherjee’ family.

An investigation has been launched, while fingers are being raised at Trinamool goons, police <g data-gr-id="13">is</g> not ruling out suicide or accident.
