Court summons six cops

Six policemen, named in a charge sheet filed in connection with last year's crackdown on yoga guru Baba Ramdev and his followers at Ramlila Maidan here, have been summoned by a Delhi court on 7 July.
Metropolitan Magistrate Anil Kumar accepted the sets of charges filed by police and said, ‘I have perused the charge sheet and documents filed by the investigating officer. I hereby take cognizance of offence under Section 336 [act endangering life or personal safety of others] of Indian Penal Code [IPC].'
Additional Commissioner of Police Devesh Chandra Srivastava Monday said the six police personnel charge sheeted were sub-inspector Sushil Kumar, Head Constable Vijender and constables Ravi, Dinesh, Tejinder and Krishan Pal.
