Court records statements of two CBI officials

The statements of two CBI officers who had conducted searches at the office and residence of the accused in a coal scam case involving Jharkhand Ispat Pvt Ltd (JIPL) and its two directors, were recorded before a special court on Wednesday. The court recorded the testimonies of CBI inspector Vijay Chettiar, who had gone to Ranchi to carry out search at JIPL's office, and inspector Sanjay Sehgal who had participated in a search operation at the house of accused R S Rungta at Panchsheel Park in South Delhi. Chettiar told Special CBI Judge Bharat Parashar that he had gone to Ranchi in March 2013 on the instructions of his seniors and carried out search at the office premises of JIPL at Ramgarh.
