A fast track court, hearing the 16 December gangrape case of a paramedical student in a moving bus in southern part of Delhi, is likely to pronounce its verdict on Tuesday. The court had reserved its verdict after hearing arguments. The victim had died in a Singapore hospital. There were six accused in the case in which one turned out to be a juvenile and the Juvenile Justice Board had, last month, convicted him on charges of rape and murder and given him the maximum punishment of three years in a probation home. Among the five adult accused, trial of Ram Singh was abated after he was found dead in Tihar Jail. Trial against remaining four accused –Mukesh, Pawan Gupta, Vinay Sharma and Akshay Thakur – continued in fast track court.
