Couple kill themselves

A couple who were allegedly having an extra-marital affair committed suicide at Nangloi in west Delhi on Tuesday night.
The victims, Jai Narayan, 38, and Premlata, 35, were neighbours at Bakkarwala village. Both, despite being married, were in an illicit relationship for a year.
According to the police, their respective families had caught a whiff of the affair which had resulted in fights between them.
According to the sources, on the night of the incident, the victim, Jai Narayan, went up to Premlata’s house where they consumed poison.
‘The victims were found in a state of unconsciousness and they were immediately rushed to Sanjay Gandhi hospital, where they were declared brought dead,’ said the police.‘No suicide note has been found, but we are presuming that because they were exposed, they had commit ted suicide,’ said the police.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem. ‘We are probing into the matter, ,’ said a senior police official.
