Cops yet to record ex-tenant’s statement who stabbed 16-yr-old

Delhi Police are yet to record the statement of the former tenant who attempted suicide after killing a 16-year-old boy and his mother in South-west Delhi’s Palam area. The condition of the accused is stated to be critical.
The incident took place at around 4.30 pm on Friday when Prashant, the 16-year-old, was at his residence in Raj Nagar area. When his 47-year-old mother, identified as Anju Devi, entered the house, she found an unknown man stabbing her son. She immediately raised an alarm to seek help from her neighbours and also tried to stop the accused. In the meantime, he stabbed her and she fell unconscious.
Meanwhile, some of the neighbours gathered at their residence to nab the accused but he locked himself up in one of the rooms inside the house. When police was informed about the incident, a team that went to the spot broke open the door and found him lying unconscious on the floor in a pool of blood. He had slit his throat and was bleeding profusely.
