Cops nab six thieves, recover stolen goods

Delhi police have arrested six fraudsters, including a lady, in various incidents and stolen articles comprising a laptop have been recovered from them. The accused were identified as Mohammed Imran, 20, Golu, 21, Javed Lone, 31, Intzar Ahmed, 24, Sarla, 23 and Devender Jain 42.

Devender Jain was arrested by the Anand Vihar railway station police for selling a fake gold watch at exorbitant rate to the complainant. The police recovered Rs 3000 from him. ‘Devender has been doing this for nearly two years,’ said Ravindra Yadav, Additional Commissioner of Police.

Mohammed Imran and Golu were arrested near Barapulla railway station, when they attempted to flee after they were questioned on suspicion about the mobile phone they had with them. Javed Lone was held on a complaint in New Delhi railway station police station for the theft of a laptop and the same was recovered. With his arrest four other cases of theft has been resolved. Intzar Ahmed was arrested from Old Delhi railway station and Sarla from Sarai Rohilla railway station for picking pockets.
