Cops nab con man, recover ‘stolen’ goods

A tele-marketing executive has been arrested by the Delhi police for his alleged involvement in fraudulent online transactions with stolen credit cards data. Electronic gadgets worth several lakh ruppees have been recovered.
The accused has been identified as Sandeep Kumar, 23, from Baljit Nagar, Delhi. A bank employee had filed a complaint about unauthorised credit card charging of the customers on 24 March.
The police, on inquiry, found out that two more items are pending to be delivered and the accused was apprehended on their delivery. On interrogation, the accused confessed that working with telemarketing companies gave him the access to credit card details. On gaining the information, he had contacted the bank for changing the customer’s mobile numbers and had updated them with his number. After that he had been using the credit cards to buy gadgets.
