Cop, woman caught in cross-fire

NEW DELHI: A head constable and a woman in the vicinity, who were caught in a cross-fire between Delhi police and a criminal, received gunshot injuries. The incident took place on Wednesday evening at around 9.30 pm in New Friends Colony. However, the criminal managed to escape.
According to a senior official, Delhi police got a tip -off that a wanted criminal will be visiting New Friends colony. But when a head constable, identified as Bobby, made an attempt to stop him, he open fired at him. In return, the cop also opened fire, but he was hit. A woman who was passing by was hit as well. ‘It is not yet clear if the victim was shot at by the criminal or the policeman,’ the official added.
