Cop shoots self accidentally

A Delhi police constable hurt himself with his service weapon which went off accidentally. The victim has been identified as constable Indarjeet Singh, 47, who was on night patrolling near south Delhi in a Police Control Room vehicle. Around 1 am, he was injured when his service weapon blew leaving him with injuries on his chest. He was taken to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) immediately by his team members. ‘Incident was reported late night on Thursday, the matter is under investigation. We did our first job to provide him medical treatment and the investigation is under progress. Indarjeet’s condition is stable,’ said a police officer. His right chest has got two bullet injuries, fortunately not severe.
