Cop, seven others booked for false case against man in Ggn

In a incident of faulty investigating procedure, a cop along with seven other accused has been booked for forging evidences and filing a false case against a person. In a regard to a rape case, an FIR was registered by the Gurgaon police in DLF phase I police station on Friday. 

The alleged rape accused claimed that he was falsely implicated, following which the cop among eight others were booked. In regard to this, a FIR was registered against sub-inspector Ran Singh who was the former in-charge of a police post in Bhiwani. 

Kuldeep, Virender and Devender- residents of Bhiwani, Pardeep and Nisha — all residents of Gurgaon and Rekha a resident of West Bengal  have been accused of threatening and blackmailing the complainant named Sandeep. According to sources the matter dates back to February, 6 2016. A 20-year-old woman hailing from West Bengal was allegedly raped on the roadside near Ghata Mod and was rescued by two passers-by. 

A case was registered against the accused who had managed to escape but was identified by the cops. 

An FIR was registered against Sandeep at DLF phase I police station under Sections 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. However, the accused, Sandeep claimed that he was not in Gurgaon on the day of the crime and he has been falsely implicated in the matter. He filed a complaint stating that all accused conspired to blackmail him.

Sources reveal that Singh in his past professional life was caught red handed accepting bribe by the vigilance department. Singh was caught on the basis of the complaint filed by Sandeep at that time. Singh later retired but held grudges against Sandeep. 

In February, to seek revenge he printed fake visiting cards belonging to Sandeep, put them in a wallet which the alleged rape victim and her two saviours gave to cops saying that it fell during the sexual assault. 

The FIR against Sandeep was filed on the basis of this evidence. Following Sandeep’s complaint and the then investigation, the credibility of Singh’s was found at fault. Following this a FIR was registered under Sections 506, 471, 468, 467, 384,  195A and 120b of the Indian Penal Code.
