Cop booked for misbehaving with woman

An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) has been booked for misbehaving with woman at a police station when she refused to pay a bribe allegedly demanded by officer, police said on Friday.
ASI Narender Kumar, posted at Sector-5 police station has been booked for demanding money from Meenu Singh and misbehaved with her. The president of the Sector-5 resident welfare association (RWA), Meenu Singh had gone to police station along with other RWA presidents regarding a rent issue with her tenant.
“Police Commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk ordered that an FIR be immediately filed against accused officer as there were several eyewitness to the incident,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Rajesh Kumar said.
