Cop beaten up by drunk motorist

A Delhi police sub-inspector was beaten up by a drunken motorcyclist in Nangloi. The incident took place on late Sunday evening when the cop was patrolling the area.  According to the police, when the cop was patrolling on his motorcycle, he found a man driving his bike rashly. When the cop tried to stop him, he tried to escape. When the cop nabbed him, they started arguing. The accused, identified as Devender, started beating him up and also started to hurling stones at him. However, the cop managed to nab the accused. He was rushed to the nearby hospital where he underwent treatment. ‘A case under the appropriate sections of Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused who has been arrested.’ the official said.
