Cop arrests father for killing minor daughter’s molester

A 52-year-old man was arrested on Saturday in Khajuri Khas area in north-east Delhi for reportedly killing the person who had allegedly sexually assaulted his minor daughter. According to the police, the man was strangulated to death.
The matter was reported to the police by the 52-year-old man himself who arrived at the Khajuri Khas police station at around 4 am, admitted to the act and also escorted police officials to the place from where the body was recovered, said RA Sanjeev, Deputy Commissioner of Police (north-east).
He further added that the deceased was identified as Omkar (45) and is survived by his wife and children who live at their native village in Madhya Pradesh. According to the police, the accused also made it clear that he killed Omkar to avenge the alleged sexual assault of his 14-year-old daughter a month back. Omkar’s family has been informed.
