Cop, 3 others held for honey-trapping bizman

An Assistant Sub-Inspector posted at Outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri police station along with three other persons was arrested by Delhi Police from Rani Bagh area of South Rohini for blackmailing several businessmen using ‘honey-trap’. The accused ASI has been identified as Subhash Chand while the other accused are Lalit Khokher, Azam Khan and Amit Singh and Tinku.

Police said that the ASI, who was the mastermind of the gang mainly targeted rich businessmen, offered them beautiful women along with a reasonable flat. When a businessman fell into this honey trap, the accused including the ASI made videos of these men. 

The businessmen were blackmailed that if they did not pay the amount of cash the videos will be made viral.

According to the police, a businessman requesting anonymity approached the local police with a complaint that he was being harassed by an Assistant Sub-Inspector. 

He told police that the policeman had trapped him by offering lucrative deals. The businessman paid the money and took the deal. Few days later, he started getting calls from the accused that they (accused) have made scandalous videos of him. If the victim does not pay the cash, his videos will be made viral. Frightened, he approached the police. 

“Based on the order of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Outer Vikramjeet Singh, the Station House Officer of South Rohini police station, Sanjay Sharma was assigned the task of investigating the matter,” said a senior  cop. All the accused were arrested. 

During sustained interrogation, the accused including ASI Subhash revealed their modus operandi. Talking about how they operated, one of the accused told cops that their prime targets were wealthy businessmen. 

Once the concerned businessman accepted their offer which included booking a flat at a reasonably price, the accused carried out their plan and video-graphed the incident and later blackmailed the concerned businessmen till they were forced to pay hefty amounts of money.
