Cong women wing to gherao Parl against PM Modi

Following the footsteps of senior Congress leaders, the women wing of the party is organising a national-level gherao of Parliament to register their protest against the Narendra Modi government.

Over 10,000 women Congress functionaries from across the country will participate in Parliament gherao programme on Tuesday at Jantar Mantar. Congress leader Shobha Oza said,“A year later, as India still awaits ‘achche din’ touted by the Modi government, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) itself has branded some of the most important promises made by Modi himself as ‘jumlas’ that clearly shows that the Centre has no intention of fulfilling its promises.”

 “First promise to all made by Modi was to bring back black money, but nothing has been done so far. Not a single penny has come to India since Modi took over and Amit Shah says that it was a political jumla.”
